Overview
The Lead Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) provides functional leadership of clinical staff and clinical operations in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols and with the Nurse Practice Act and the State of Delaware Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations.
The Lead Clinical RN will be an active member of an interdisciplinary team to provide clinical leadership and improve office workflow and efficiency, promote quality and safety, and ensure financial stewardship.
Responsibilities
Provides functional leadership of clinical staff and clinical operations.
Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and the State of Delaware Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations.
Acts as a preceptor and mentor for other licensed and unlicensed clinical team members. Timely completion of assigned education and annual competencies.
Participates in clinical team member evaluations and disciplines.
Promotes quality, safety, and improvement by participating in error reporting and review, system tracers, audits, and assigned or volunteer committees.
Recognizes unit needs and is a liaison between the clinical staff and leadership to assist in development and maintenance of office specific policies, procedures, and/or protocols that will promote safety and encourage efficient workflows.
Communicates and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing and other clinical support staff practice.
Utilizes appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.
Advocates for clients.
Actively assists others and accepts additional duties or assignments. Works in other BMG office locations and/or other shift times when needed.

Qualifications

Experience In Ambulatory Care

Education:
RN Diploma, BSN, RN, or MSN, RN
Credentials:
Essential:
RN - Registered Nurse license from the state of Delaware or Compact State
BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
Minimum of 3 years experience as an RN in the area of interest
Additional Responsibilities:
One on call weekend per rotation
(3) Clinical shifts and (1) administrative day per week
Leads morning team huddles.
Provides cross facility coverage for other Lead Clinical Registered Nurses?
Orders McKesson supplies and Medications for their location
Maintains organization and standardization for their location
Completes the monthly tasks for their office i.e. pharmacy keeper, EOC rounding
Assists in information gathering for safety tracking tools.
Able to navigate when I work and make changes as they occur.
Assists in staff meetings at their location.
Completes monthly rounds with Senior PM.
Follow through with communication to all staff from leadership.

Employed physicians through Beebe Medical Group and our affiliated physicians on Beebe's Medical Staff now serve patients from Milford to Millville in specialties including cardiac surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, family practice, gastroenterology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatric neurology, and surgical oncology.
