St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to join our Chemo Infusion team.

Unit/Position Summary

St. Luke's Health System is seeking two leaders interested in a job share opportunity, as a Chemo Infusion Supervisor, to lead the chemo infusion clinic (CIC) within the Cancer Institute in Boise.
This is a new structure. We are excited to find two passionate leaders to share and develop the paired role. This role will include additional FTE in the chemo infusion space as a charge RN or infusion RN. This position has the flexibility to work a total FTE of 0.6 FTE to 1.0 FTE. This candidate must hold a minimum 0.1 FTE (1 - 8hr shift per pay period) in chemo infusion.
Supervisor Role 0.5 FTE
Week 1 - 3 days - 8 hrs
Week 2- 2 days - 8 hrs
Charge RN/Infusion Role
Flexibility for 0.1-0.5 FTE in addition to the supervisor days.
Flexibility to shift days between the leadership pair.
Clinic hours: M-F 0630-1800
Open holidays - Rotating leadership responsibilities (1 holiday a year).
Clinic Overview: 24 Chairs/beds. Average 70 patients a day. Infusions include chemotherapy/biotherapy, blood products, electrolytes, fluids, etc.
You will join a dedicated and collaborative leadership team! The St. Luke's Cancer Institute clinics are dynamic full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment center offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies.
Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day oversight of the unit/department(s) assigned
- Provides leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff
- Will select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff
- Works with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsels staff when clinical practice standards are not met
- Assists with coordination of schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Collaborates with all members of care provision team to share knowledge and plan for optimal outcomes
- Serves as administrative authority for the smooth function of all units on assigned shift
- Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices
- Serves as expert and resource to staff
- Coordinates quality initiatives and process improvements
- Assists with budget planning and clinical needs assessments
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
- Three (3) years' relevant RN experience
- Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology experience
- Leadership experience
