JOB SUMMARY:
The Emergency Department at Penn State Holy Spirit is a 31 bed, Level 2 Trauma Unit. As a busy unit, the ED sees an average census of about 116 patients a day. Taking both experienced RN's as well as new grads, the ED is a great place to learn quickly in a fast paced environment.
The RN Registered Nurse assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by State of employment
AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
ACLS and PALS required within six (6) months of hire into this positionÂ
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Six months RN experience preferred.
