Summary:

WMCHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Department ofOtolaryngology at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.This is an exciting opportunity available to qualified Physician Assistants with excellent clinical decision-making, exposure to quality of care measures, and strong procedural skills. Candidates must be board certified and possess or be able to obtain a license in New York. We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of one-year in-hospital experience.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Department utilizes Physician Assistants as part of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high-quality healthcare. Candidates will undergo cross-training in surgery and trauma/critical care. Surgical PA's provide coverage in the Surgical ICUs and give support to the Trauma ICUs and OR. The institution provides a full spectrum of surgical services in which the Physician Assistant isa valued member of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Inpatient Consults
• Emergency Room Consults
• Inpatient Care
• Practice with a team of 3rd & 4th year Residents
• Department will provide all aspects of inpatient & outpatient education, including surgically assisting in the Operating Room
• Share on-call responsibilities with Residents
