Atlantic Health System is seeking a full time Patient Care Technician for Chilton Medical Center. The shift is 7AM - 7:30PM, including every other weekend.

This position ensures patient safety using video monitoring technology. They will also assist with basic tasks outlined below on the inpatient units.

• assisting patients with activities of daily living such as feeding and bathing; obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights.
• assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities; performing post mortem care.
• measuring and recording I & O; performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned.
• Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care with a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
• Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
• Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months required
• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

License/Certification:

• BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire

Relevant Experience:

• 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred
