Atlantic Health System is seeking a full time Patient Care Technician for Chilton Medical Center. The shift is 7AM - 7:30PM, including every other weekend.
Responsibilities
This position ensures patient safety using video monitoring technology. They will also assist with basic tasks outlined below on the inpatient units.
assisting patients with activities of daily living such as feeding and bathing; obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights.
assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities; performing post mortem care.
measuring and recording I & O; performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the RN.
maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care with a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months required
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
License/Certification:
BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire
Relevant Experience:
6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred
