We are currently hiring for a RN to work 36 hours per week on the Evening/Midnight shift for our Emergency Department.
The Union Hospital Emergency Department is seeking nurses who thrive in a fast paced environment with a thirst for knowledge to work in a community based Emergency Department. The successful candidate must be comfortable caring for all ages and populations. They will be flexible with a team oriented approach to patient care. Will work closely with providers to provide excellent quality of care and patient safety.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Whenever possible, the family or those significant to the family are considered as part of the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation efforts of the Registered Nurse.
When care is not provided directly by the Registered Nurse, the RN assigns/directs care to other qualified members of the health care team.
The RN coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed.
This job requires employee to demonstrate initial and annual competencies in order to remain in the position.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Administers, monitors, and documents medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
Monitors and reports expected and adverse reactions to treatments, procedures and medications.
Requirement:
Current RN license in the state of Maryland or compact state.
Associates Nursing Degree, BSN preferred.
Two years' experience required. Acute Care preferred.
BLS certification required.
ACLS and PALS preferred - must get within 1 year of service.
CEN preferred.
Hours: This position is Evening/Midnight 12-hour shifts of 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
The successful candidate may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus to be paid over a period of 12 months.
