Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician for the Nursing Resource Department at Overlook Medical Center to work 7pm-7:30am including 2 weekend shifts.

Essential Function/Responsibilities:

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities.
• Performing post mortem care.
• Measuring and recording I & O.
• Performing EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observing and reporting changes in patients condition to the RN.
• Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties assigned.
• Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care with a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
• Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
• Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Minimum Education:

• HS Diploma or GED required

Minimum Experience:

• Previous healthcare experience or nursing student strongly preferred
