Position Information:
The Clinical Coordinator, RN is responsible for the coordination of departmental clinical operations, up to and including scrubbing and circulating cases in assigned service line. In conjunction with WakeMed schedulers, coordinates surgery scheduling to facilitate timely patient flow throughout the department. When in charge nurse role in surgery, delegates patient care to appropriate personnel by making assignments based on needs, abilities, and expertise. The Clinical Coordinator, RN will also serve as departmental resource and liaison for clinical information technology systems. This includes providing departmental training, building physician resource maps, assisting with department and system-wide information system initiatives, and collecting and analyzing necessary statistical data for the department.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years Nursing - Related Area Required - And 2 Years Clinical - Surgical Services Preferred
Education Required:
Graduate Nursing Required - Or College Courses Nursing Required - With Required Licensure/Certification - And Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Registered Nurse Required - And National Certification in Nursing Preferred
