This position manages, evaluates and supervises operational functions and activities of assigned area by guiding and supporting staff and serving as liaison with other departments to facilitate quick resolution of issues to ensure excellence in a family centered care environment.

Education

• Bachelor`s in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
• Masters in Nursing or Masters degree in related field OR Doctorate degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in qualifying program with a required completion date of 12/31/2023. (Required)

Experience

• Three years of experience in the specialty area or with a pediatric patient population to include leadership and / or supervisory responsibilities. (Required)
• Five or more years of experience in an Emergency Department. (Required)

Certifications

• Current State of Arizona RN License. (Required)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. (Required)
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association within one year of hire. (Required)
• CPEN (Preferred)

Special Skills

• Analytical and statistical skills necessary to develop and monitor unit operating and personnel budgets. (Required)
• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving abilities in order to resolve complex clinical, systems and personnel problems and issues which affect the unit and inpatient departments (Required)

• Must be able to assume 24-hour accountability for unit coverage. (Required)
