Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patients needs.
About the Inpatient Rehab Unit
IRU is a 14-bed specialty unit.
We are CARF certified (Commission Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
Patients commonly seen in the IRU are those with life altering events: stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, major multi-trauma, femur fracture, brain injury, neurological disorders (MS, Parkinsons, Guillain-Barr, etc.) and joint replacements.
Patients must have the ability to do 3 hours of therapy daily and have the need for 24-hour nursing care.
Patients are typically here for 1-3 weeks.
