Role Purpose
The Scheduling Supervisor oversees the scheduling process for the Home Health service line and supervises the daily operations and workflow. This position supervises the team that is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of care delivered by a multi-disciplinary team and for supporting exceptional patient care and best practices. This position maintains knowledge of home care goals & interests and provides and/or coordinates functions involved with quality improvement processes, programs and services. Additionally, The Scheduling Supervisor acts as a mentor, preceptor and trainer to team members and is responsible for ensuring high levels of performance by the team.
Responsibilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Manages and oversees the overall scheduling process for the Home Health Service Line, working directly with the department, Home Health Supervisors, and families regarding patient care.
- Directs the daily operations and the work flow of the department, using effective communication and coordination with department leadership and physician feedback.
- Exhibits the ability to manage multi-faceted electronic medical records (EMR) scheduling with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; produces and distributes reports related to clinical data and productivity.
- BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-10 years of experience
- < 2 years of supervisory experience
