SUMMARY: The Nurse Manager/Educator is responsible for the continuous safe operation of the assigned department(s) including all aspects of patient care, education of staff, budgeting, staffing and quality assurance. The Nurse Manager/Educator provides/supports the framework for the strategic goals of the department and is an expert clinician who works in partnership with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement and evaluate a holistic plan of care for the patient/family. Responsible for planning, developing, conducting and evaluating continuing education, orientation and training programs for all categories of clinical nursing staff.

Minimum Education: Bachelor degree preferred, willing to complete bachelors.
Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in an acute care facility including at least 1 year of experience in the specialty area is required. Management/Supervision experience is required.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required. Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days. BLS required. Mandatory certifications for relevant department(s) within orientation period. ACLS/NRP/Fetal Monitoring required. Willing to pursue AWHONN Instructor status.
