The Abrazo Neuroscience Institute, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is a comprehensive program collaborating with Western Neuro in Tucson Arizona, to offer a service that meets the increasing need of our communities. Our board certified Neurosurgeons , and skilled team members have the unique ability and training to provide patients with a single source for a variety of conditions. Prepares chart with patient demographics, past medical history, medication list, previous images and results
Act as a medical scribe as needed for optimal patient flow
Rooms patients in exam room
Take vital signs per protocol, reviews past medical history and current medication list
Notify RN of any abnormal vital signs
Assists with diagnostic procedures done in clinic, such as x-rays
Managing and responding to patient calls, transferring calls or messages to the nurse in a timely manner if patient is requiring triage
Obtain pre-authorization for medications
Education: High school diploma/GED required with the completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or two years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
Certification: Medical Assistant preferred (required in some TPR markets) and CPR certification
Experience: Must have a minimum of one year of relevant work experience or two years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
