The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities
Administers medications to patients according to hospital policy. Conducts performance improvement initiatives on the unit. Implements patient safety measures Maintains regulatory readiness. Insure the completeness of all logs and discipline employees with guidance from the Director. Initiates the investigatory process when presented with quality issues and participate in the disciplinary process. Conduct patient satisfaction rounds and provide immediate feedback to the employees. Provide shift to shift report utilizing walking patient rounds
Current NJ RN license, current BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider.
