WORK TYPE: Full Time
Responsible for securing information and services for all customers contacting the Information & Referral Center (IRC). Provides information in a comprehensive, timely, and coordinated manner for all individuals accessing the center. Builds positive relationships with community contacts and intra-agency/inter-agency individuals. Manages calls and related services for answering service clients.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Ability to exercise knowledge of professional nursing and community health knowledge, to facilitate requests, referrals, and needs of individuals utilizing the IRC.
Ability to communicate effectively and comprehensively in a customer-oriented fashion to all individuals accessing the IRC.
Ability to perform data entry and other related computer functions.
Ability to prepare neat, timely, accurate, and concise documentation in clinical records and reports.
Ability to exercise tact, initiative, good judgment, and outstanding communication abilities.
Ability to assess, problem-solve, think critically, and make sound decisions in all aspects of job requirements.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize responsibilities in a fast-paced, quick-changing environment.
Ability to develop relationships through good communication with both internal and external customers
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Pennsylvania.
One year of experience as a RN in a clinical setting.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Intermittent sitting, standing, and walking during work periods.
2. Visual and auditory acuity required to perform assigned duties.
