JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse Clinical Leader Medical Surgical D6
LOCATION: Geisinger Community Medical Center
WORK SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings -every weekend Saturday and Sunday/holiday rotation
WORK TYPE: Part Time (.6 FTE) - 48 Hours Bi-Weekly; 40W Overtime
The Clinical Leader is a professional registered nurse who assumes responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and operations of an assigned unit, as well as clinical responsibility for the delivery of patient care. Serves as a role model for professional practice and directs patient flow activity to maintain consistency in patient care. Assists the department Manager/Director in the appropriate utilization of material, financial and human resources in the assigned unit.

Demonstrated proficiency in directing and guiding personnel; ability to function independently and interdependently; ability to initiate, accept and adapt to change; good time management, problem-solving and organizational skills; team building skills; ability to accept and recognize differences among people; ability to work effectively under pressure.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse with current, unrestricted Pennsylvania license. Bachelor of Science degree preferred. Current BLS and ACLS Healthcare provider. Minimum two (2) years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting.
For Registered Nurses that are newly hired externally or promoted into this Geisinger RN position by August 1, 2015, BSN degree is required or enrollment in a BSN program within 6 months of hire date with BSN degree completed within 4 years of hire date is required.
Current RN seniority is to be recognized.
