The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), a national association located in Pittsburgh, serving nurses and other healthcare professionals, is seeking an energetic and customer-oriented Business Development Specialist to support our Employer Partner Program by expanding current offerings and generating new relationships. As HPNA’s Business Development Specialist you will:
Contact new companies/agencies to develop them as partners of the program through regular communication and upselling on new offerings.
Promote educational resources, certifications, and memberships to employers.
Research employers of hospice and palliative nurses for new prospects.
Utilize database of partners’ activity and build reports and communications for clients and for internal management.
Support partners by answering questions and addressing service-related concerns.
Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to effectively address all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization
Self-driven entrepreneurial attitude
Attention to detail
Professional tact and demeanor
Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
Experience with relevant technology applications including databases, MS Office Suite, and CRM systems
Able to prioritize and manage a diverse list of competing objectives
Experience in working with senior leaders in healthcare organizations is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent relevant experience required
