Collaborates with directors and ancillary service leaders to provide daily clinical and operational leadership for the nursing units. Also serves as the staff development educator for the assigned units. Possesses exceptional customer service skills and fosters positive physician relationships. Serves as a staff role model by providing leadership that encourages teambuilding, communication, staff engagement and promotes change. Supports the profession of nursing by modeling evidenced-based practices and adhere to ANA standards of care. Assures unit based operational efficiency that drives quality, safety, and performance improvement activities. Supports and encourages the shared governance and Magnet environment within the unit and hospital. Drives results for patient experience, quality and safety outcomes, even under tough circumstances. Indirect reporting structure to Director of Education.
RN license for Texas
Must obtain Specialty Certification within their Nursing area within 3 years
BSN or equivalent experience. If ADN Prepared must be enrolled and actively pursuing BSN
Must obtain BSN within 1 year of entry into position
2 years clinical experience. 1 year charge nurse, supervisory, management or other leadership experience
