Responsible for developing, conducting and evaluating in-service programs, orientation and continuing education for nurses, students, patients and other staff in a specified clinical area. Consults with external clinical educators, staff, physicians and administration on the organization's educational requirements to ensure patient and staff needs are met. Develops educational policies and procedures. Serves as a resource person to staff and management.
Functions collaboratively with members of NNMC management to identify and monitor patient experience strategies. Utilizes patient experience data collection resources and feedback to facilitate processes resulting in improvement of patient perception. This role will serve as education resource specialist to facilitate offerings for new and existing staff and volunteers including, but not limited to G.R.E.A.T., Service Excellence, Service Recovery, Patient Satisfaction database management, and Patient and Family Advocacy Program for NNMC. Drive operational improvements through teams using performance improvement tools. Foster driving a culture of 'honoring life's journey' that allows every patient to feel extraordinary care by the NNMC team!
