The APRN is a critical role responsible for the provision of psychiatric treatment of severely emotionally disturbed (SED) or severe disabling mental illness (SDMI) clients receiving outpatient services. The APRN functions as an active member of a team of professionals in the delivery of community based mental health treatment and rehabilitative services providing psychiatric/medical consultation for: Outpatient Therapy, Day Treatment, Community Based Rehabilitation, Case Management, Crisis House services and Family Based Therapy services. The APRN provides training for staff and consultations for families and clients as appropriate and positively represents the Mental Health Center to the medical community.
