This position will work in the day to day operations of the Christus Northeast Texas Regional Command Center. This position will serve as an information resource and liaison between physician requests for admissions and/or transfers, nursing departments, clinical coordinators, and areas requiring admission and outpatient beds (surgery, ECC, PACU, and Registration, as well as other hospitals requesting transfers in). This position will receive bed reservations, obtain bed assignments for patients and coordinate with the nursing floors, housekeeping and transportation to maintain adequate patient throughput. The Access Center RN-BedBoard will ensure patient bed placement achieves the best patient outcomes as well as supports overall patient and staff safety. This position serves as a primary access point for physicians to direct admit patients within the Northeast Texas regional facilities. This position leads daily bed meetings coordinating with all charge nurses, Clinical Coordinators, and Clinical Directors. Works closely with the Hospital Administration & Physicians to maintain daily operations resulting in adequate patient flow throughout the hospital. Collaborates with hospital representatives to lead and manage workgroups for strategic planning of patient throughput within the Northeast Texas Christus hospital facilities.
TX RN License
3 to 5 years as a RN in an acute care setting, Transfer Center, ICU or ER experience preferred
