Women’s & Children’s Hospital, a part of University of Missouri Health Care’s, located in Columbia, Missouri, is seeking an experienced NICU Nurse Manager.
The future NICU leader will be charismatic, outcome driven change agent, with a tangible passion for bringing out the best in staff, physicians and learners. He/she will manage the clinical, operational, financial and personnel activities of the NICU.

Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in clinical specialty and A Master of Science in a related field is required. Minimum of four (4) years experience in hospital setting (or combination hospital and ambulatory history if applying for an ambulatory position). Minimum of two (2) years of managerial or supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare setting. Proven leadership and organizational skills required. Current Missouri license/registration is required where state license/registration is granted. Candidate must demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and lead multi-disciplinary teams that include nursing, physician, support and ancillary staff. Knowledge and skills in quality improvement and application of best evidence-based practices is necessary. Administrative skills in planning, organizing, scheduling, and financial management are a must. The ideal candidate must be able to perform independently with minimal oversight, be self-motivated, and strategically overcome obstacles to achieve positive outcomes in delivering care to clients of MU Health Care and the broader patient base.
